Brandon Trent's journey began on the bass began at the age fifteen inspired by hard rock / "hair bands" of the 80's. After a few years of playing, his tastes began leaning toward funkier bass playing, prog rock and jazz. Brandon pursued a degree in music at UL in Lafayette College of Music where he got more into jazz and classical playing and received formal lessons on the upright bass and electric bass as well. After three years of college he decided to get some real-world experiences by traveling and playing gigs with various bands, playing and performing in a various musical styles. During his time in college and being a traveling full-time musician he had ample opportunities to work on recording local musicians album projects in brick & mortar studios and out of people's home studios. Brandon currently serves as a bassist on my church’s worship team and have continued working as an at-home studio/recording bassist having worked on almost 250 recording projects with musicians from all over the U.S. and overseas. We love having Brandon as one of our Instructors.
